I was so fortunate to hear about Victoria's coaching sessions thanks to a friend's recommendation. I was at a stage where life had brought me much joy and excitement with my family complete and a wonderful experience living abroad. But like many mums with young children I was stuck: how to move forward with my personal and professional life? And during lockdown and a pandemic?
I felt I could speak so openly to Victoria: she's attentive, discrete and dedicated. She provided that special coaching relationship, a wonderful tool which helped me analyse why I felt paralysed, where I wanted to be and help me move my life forward.
Providing encouragement and guidance every step of the way Victoria showed a real desire to help me change my challenges into success: I got a job I wanted - despite these harsh covid times - and I found a new balance in my personal life. I would highly recommend having Victoria as a coach: her sessions are that precious missing link which got me where I wanted to be.

I contacted Victoria initially about a career change but it soon became apparent that the real issue at hand was my relationship with my husband.
Victoria helped me see through the fog of being in the centre of everyday living (and the negative interactions with in that) to seeing the situation as an outsider looking in. This gave me a lot of clarity, I could see the relationship as it was and we delved in to why and how I could deal with the situation better.
Victoria helped me unravel everything and then I could see a clearer path to take. By talking things through I was suddenly able to recognise behaviours and understanding the reasons behind them was a huge step to being able to deal with them better.
The sessions are hard work, it was not always easy for me but Victoria is there all the way asking the right questions to help you get there yourself. I always felt she was really listening and felt very safe in her hands. I would 100% recommend her.
I am hugely grateful for the journey we went on together.

Victoria helped me to look at my life in a more positive way. I started off wanting a five year plan which would lead to a career change but I soon realised that so many big things were going on in my life (including expecting my second child) that actually I needed to live in the present more. Victoria’s excellent listening skills and questions led me on a journey to self reflection on a lot of the ‘negative’ things in my life, many of which I have been able to turn into positives. This new perspective has completely worked for me in my life right now and I am now able to have a word with myself when self doubt/negative thoughts arise. I will definitely be reaching out to Victoria again in the future.

What can I expect from a coaching session?
I’m a certified coach, trained through Animas Centre for Coaching. In my coaching practice I combine techniques and tools drawn from neuroscience and psychotherapy including Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, Transactional Analysis, Narrative Coaching, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Person-Centred Coaching and Positive Psychology.

Coaching sessions are exploratory, insightful, honest and often fun! We will spend the time discussing you, looking at everything that you aren’t happy with, figuring out ways to make changes, exploring obstacles, emotions, thoughts, behaviour patterns, agreeing on next steps, reflecting on progress, laughing, smiling… sometimes there are tears and sometimes there are squeals of excitement. You can expect to experience shifts in the way you think, feel and act in your day to day life with calm, encouraging support as well as some firm reminders from me. The process is a lot easier when you have someone who’s been there, right beside you, as you progress through the exciting, exhilarating and liberating journey of transforming your life.

I’m not sure I should be investing my money in coaching. How do I decide if this is worth the money?
Think about whether you would invest money in a personal trainer or a 12-month gym membership. We somehow often find it easier to invest in our physical health than our mental health. We also tend to find it easier to invest in material things such as a new pair of shoes, a weekend away, things we use to try and make us feel better. These things all provide that short term happiness fix that we’re needing.

People find it hard to invest in coaching, possibly due to the fact that it feels too self-indulgent or too courageous to do something that could possibly be life-changing. But when we compare investing in that pair of shoes or that weekend away, with embarking on a journey of self development and personal growth that could change our life forever, it makes the cost seem a little less scary.

I don’t know whether coaching is the right thing for me. How can I work this out?
If you find yourself lying awake at night with that niggling voice saying ‘you need to sort this out’ ‘I’ve had enough of feeling like this’ then coaching could possibly be a good option for you.

If you’re feeling uncertain as to whether this is the right option then we can have a conversation over the phone and I can answer any questions and we can talk about whether I might be the right coach for you. If at the end of the call, you decide it’s not the right fit, then that is absolutely fine.
Have a read of some of the testimonials on here as this could also help you decide whether coaching might be a good option for you.

Who do you coach?
I coach people from a whole range of different backgrounds. The areas I specialise in are coaching in self confidence, relationships and career change/progression, but I also coach people on other areas of their life. If you are wondering whether I can help you, then get in touch and we can discuss whether I might be the right fit for you.

All of my clients come to me with a desire to change an aspect or several aspects of their lives. Some of my clients have a clear idea of their goals and others come without any idea but just the knowledge that they want things to change. I’m encouraging and positive yet also realistic, for example, I won’t suggest you go off backpacking in South East Asia for a year if you have children and a mortgage.

Coaching is a non-judgemental, safe and confidential space where you can discuss and explore absolutely anything. In order to make progress, we will need to really explore what is going on in your mind and in your life in order to find exactly what it is that is causing you pain and what needs to therefore change.
